Is American Express down right now?
The verdict at the top of this page updates every 30 seconds. It combines our own server checks, American Express's official status page (when available), reports from people like you, and checks run in visitors' browsers.
American Express isn't working for me, but PagePanic says it's up. Why?
Tap “Is it just me?”. We'll test your connection, your DNS, and American Express from your browser, then compare with other visitors in your country. Usually it's a local network, DNS, VPN or browser-extension issue.
What can I do while American Express is down?
Not much — and that's okay. Avoid repeatedly logging in or reinstalling. Check back here; we'll show when it recovers. Tap “Notify me” to get a push notification the next time it breaks.
